Dollie by Elizabeth
"My experience with Megan and Full Pawtential was extremely rewarding and constructive. I understand my dog now and the motivations behind her behavior. Every training session I walked away with more knowledge and better understanding. The great thing was Dollie (my dog) really enjoyed our weekly visits with Megan as well. All of Megan's training is positive and reinforcment, nothing negative. Dollie is beaming with confidence now and a lot of her anxious habits have calmed. What I really loved is that Megan worked with me as well, it was as much for me as it was for Dollie. I have the tools I need to ensure that my Dollie has the structure and leader she needs. Megan was also such a dream to work with, there is not a doubt in my mind that she loves what she does and is also fabulous at it. Now that our training is done, Dollie and I continue to use what Megan gave us, and it is continually improving our life together. I'm actually really thankful I found Megan and Full Pawtential, Dollie's behavoir was not something I could have cured on my own, and it would have continued to get worse, only at Dollie's discomfort and stress. Megan and Full Pawtential are the best in my eyes, Full Pawtential is Fully Pawsatively, the Best!
“Megan, Bella Loves you!!!!!" by Noah
I brought home a new puppy, well a 7 month old new puppy that had been locked up in a cage at a pet store until I got her. She was very scared of humans and showed signs a fear aggression. I took her to one of those local pet supply stores and got talked in to enrolling in to the puppy training classes they had. WHAT A JOKE!!!! By listening to them, it got me bit several times and made the situation with my new family member worse. Now, she was even more terrified of humans. More then that, the human she feared most, was me.
I bought books, read all sorts of articles on the net and talked to as many people with dogs as i could to try and get an idea on how to help this animal become more human friendly. It got me nowhere.
A friend of mine reminded me of a local dog trainer i could call. When i called Full Pawtential Dog Training, I spoke with the trainer Megan. I gave her as much info as I could over the phone in hope she could better help me understand what was happening. Obviously you can’t diagnose a potential problem over the phone, however she was able to give me some advice that was able to keep my new puppy and I from fighting until she could get to my house. My new trainer (Megan) didn’t take any time to arrive at my house and I live almost an hour away.
Upon arrival, Megan just asked me a series of questions and then simply asked me to carry on as I would normally with my puppy as well as my other dogs. Immediately Megan picked out what style of training i am used to; the aggressive approach. This approach combined with my lack of dog knowledge and miss information I got from those silly puppy training classes is what the problem was. I was giving the puppy to much unwanted attention at the wrong times and was promoting the bad behavior.
After spending just a few short hours with Megan, she gave me a plan of attach to make the puppy feel more at home in its new environment and gave me allot of useful ideas on how to make the post out of my new puppies day all at the same time of staying out of puppies way. AMAZING!!!!!!!
Hear I am writing this review not even two weeks after my only contact with Megan and thru the use of Megan’s "Nothing is for free" approach, i can see major results and almost a total attitude change in my puppy. She is starting to wag her tail, she wants to know what im doing, how to do it, when to do it, why she is doing it (food, water, sleep, love) and even gets excited when its time to mingle with the big mean human (ME). Even though she still seems timid of humans, this is still only week two since I started with Megan’s training program and i can see marked improvements.
I certainly will be spending more time with my puppy’s savior (Megan) as my puppy progresses. Megan was able to effectively asses my puppy and its environment, asses me, and evaluate the goods and the bads of it all. By our first meetings end, she was able to tell me what the dog was thinking and most likely why she was thinking it. She also taught me about dog body language and how it effects your interaction with your dog. Now, I can communicate with my puppy with non verbal ques that let her know that I am going to enter her space, but i mean no harm, and that I am a friend, don’t be scared.
Calling Full pawtential was the best thing I could have done for my new puppy. I would and will certainly recommend Full Pawtential to anyone i hear of with behavioral issues as well as basic training needs. Megan was awesome!!!!
Thanks again Megan,
N.G.
“Awesome Improvement!!" by Mike
Megan did a great job with our 6 month old Goldendoodle, Holly. Megan communicate well with us, gave us updates during the 2 weeks she had our puppy (including emailed pictures), and spent time with us at the end of the training to "train us". She addressed all of our concerns and at the end of the 2 weeks, we were returned a well behaved puppy. I would highly recommend Megan for anyone looking for training help with their dog. Her approach was very logical and positive, there was no harsh training tactics and the results are amazing.
“Had Pawsitive Experience with Full Pawtential "
Having heard of Meghan through craiglist, I wish I had contacted her sooner. It was the unexpected addition of a 3rd pooch that sent our pack over the edge. She had so many great ideas about getting in control of my 2 pugs and dachshund. We can already see more calmness and control in the worst offender, Skittles, by using just a few of Meghan's professional and firm advice.
“Very Beneficial and Helpful Experience" by Jackie
I had taken my dog to two sets of classes at the local big box pet store. Though the classes were helpful and my dog did learn and can now perform several basic commands, the commands he learned for heel and lose leash walking never carried forward from the controled environment of the store to the actual environment of the outdoors. Trent remained a strong puller on leash.
I either was going to stop walking Trent or I knew I needed to get some help. I contacted Megan with Full Pawtential. Megan arrived promptly at my home at the scheduled time. We sat and talked first as Megan gathered information and observed Trent. Megan explained different kinds of training collars. After selecting one, we set off for the outdoors. Immediately Megan was able to assess my problem.
She demonstrated technics to stop Trent from pulling and then observed me while I tried out the technics. It was extremely helpful having Megan coaching me along as Trent and I learned to walk together without Trent pulling me.
In addition, Megan offered helpful suggestions that would settle Trent down before we even left the house so that he would be more controllable on walks. I was able to see improvement in Trent's walking behavior in the short time that Megan worked with us.
I appreciated that Megan was not judgemental about my dog's behavior and could tell that her primary goal was to help both Trent and I in any way she could to have a more enjoyable time walking.

Megan makes learning fun for both the dog and the owner. I understand my dog's behavior and his motivations so much better now. What a difference this insight makes in my relationships with my dogs. Take a class from Megan and you to will see the difference in your dog!
